Blu Omega is seeking a Technical Writer & Documentation Specialist who will coordinate, draft, and manage mission-critical documentation, including policies, procedures, technical reports, and public-facing summaries for ARPA-H. The role requires strong editorial judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, draft, and maintain documentation for ISO-related activities, including policies, procedures, technical reports, and summaries
  • Develop and manage documents such as procedural guides, training materials, meeting summaries, and communications for the Mission Office
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and verify content accuracy
  • Translate technical feedback and evaluation comments into plain language suitable for public audiences
  • Establish and uphold document formatting, version control, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Create templates, flowcharts, and process diagrams to illustrate complex workflows
  • Assist in the preparation and review of presentation materials, response letters, and ad-hoc submissions
  • Monitor agency standards and incorporate relevant updates into documentation
Qualifications:
  • SETA experience supporting a government research agency (e.g., ARPA-H, DARPA, ONR, R&E, AFRL); preference for ARPA experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience, preferably in healthcare, research, or a regulated environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Confident editing and rewriting skills, including revising work from senior staff and subject-matter experts
  • Proven ability to provide candid, constructive feedback and prioritize clarity over sensitivities
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related field
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in high-stakes, multidisciplinary project environments
  • Familiarity with federal documentation standards and processes
Salary Range: $90,000K -$130,000K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
