Student Photographer

The Office of Communications and Marketing/Photographic Services is seeking a talented and motivated student photographer with an interest in event and campus life photography to join our Photographic Services team. The successful candidate will know how to use the camera's manual settings and have a basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite for photo editing.

Essential Functions

• Capture professional-quality photographs for university use, including events, campus life, and departmental requests.
• Provide timely photographic support to various university departments.
• Download, catalog, and accurately caption images, ensuring all files are uploaded to the image library within a few hours of assignment.
• Maintain availability during regular business hours, with occasional assignments during evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience using digital DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
• Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar photo editing software.
• Ability to provide a link to an online portfolio or samples of photographic work.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate professionally with staff, clients, and support teams.
• Ability to adapt to new situations and consistently meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and advanced Adobe software.
• Experience with flash/lighting.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour

Work Hours: 8-15
