This hands-on role involves conducting user research while advancing our research methods in digital environments. You will work collaboratively with designers and product stakeholders to design and execute research studies, develop screens and discussion guides, recruit participants, process and analyze data, and present your findings. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in research execution within the product development lifecycle, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work effectively with a diverse team.

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of relevant qualitative research experience with a 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Expertise in designing experiments and conducting qualitative research that informs user-centered design decisions
  • Proven ability in analyzing user behavior through various research methods, including surveys, web analytics, and moderated/unmoderated testing using tools like User Testing and UserZoom
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • A balanced mix of qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills
  • Experience managing other researchers or agency partnerships
  • Familiarity with large-scale global digital applications and websites in commerce or travel
  • Strong storytelling and facilitation skills

Core Work Activities

  • Partner with designers and stakeholders to answer design questions and identify data gaps
  • Communicate research findings clearly to users, team members, and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with research methodologies and design trends to identify future opportunities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on research design and methodology to fulfill user goals

Measurement & Analytics

  • Make data-driven decisions based on metrics, user research findings, and segment data analysis
  • Conduct various research types, including usability testing and A/B testing

Project Management

  • Provide accurate work estimates to inform project timelines
  • Manage multiple assignments successfully while welcoming and offering constructive critiques

Additional Responsibilities

  • Operate independently but know when to escalate issues to management
  • Build strong relationships across teams to facilitate collaboration
  • Present ideas confidently, ensuring that complex concepts are accessible to all
