Web Developer (Full Stack) Hybrid in Virginia

Alphanumeric is hiring a Web Developer to join a collaborative project team supporting a long?standing financial and insurance industry client in Richmond, VA. This position will contribute to the buildout of a Reference Data Management solution a full?stack web application for managing and visualizing enterprise reference data.

Base pay range

$50.75/hr $54.20/hr (W2 Only)

Location

Will consider remote, however must reside in one of the following states: CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, NV, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV.

About the Role

You'll partner closely with a lead developer on the detailed design and implementation of the front?end interface, while contributing to API development, database modeling, CI/CD automation, and documentation best practices.

Project Scope

Frontend User Interface

• Develop a modern React?based single?page application (SPA) for exploring and managing reference data.
• Build dynamic, role?based user views with CRUD (create/read/update/delete) functionality.
• Enable a self?service experience for non?technical users to manage data relationships.
• Build and extend API endpoints to support CRUD operations and data interactions.
• Implement authentication and authorization controls for all user actions.
• Develop supplemental endpoints to support programmatic data integrations.

Database Management

• Model and create SQL reference tables, system views, and relationship maps.
• Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures for CRUD operations and RBAC enforcement.

Testing, Deployment & Documentation

• Maintain version control via Git with best practices for commits and branching.
• Build automated testing suites and a CI/CD pipeline for deployment and quality assurance.
• Document all components using Markdown, covering architecture, functionality, and deployment processes.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of API design and consumption (REST, JSON, status codes).
• Experience working with SQL databases and basic data modeling.
• Knowledge of authentication methods and role?based access controls (RBAC).
• Familiarity with Git version control and DevSecOps practices.
• Awareness of common web vulnerabilities and security best practices.
• Excellent documentation skills (Markdown preferred).
• Strong communication, initiative, and self?management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks.
• Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, and YAML.
