Director, Unified Communications and Network Services
American Credit Acceptance is seeking a Director to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless). The position reports to the VP of Information Technology and focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of all network and communications systems.
Essential Functions
Network Services Management
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Oversee network security appliances and services, including firewalls and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards.
Unified Communications & Telephony Management
- Implement cloud?based call center telephony platforms (e.g., Nice, Genesys, TalkDesk).
- Oversee corporate telecommunications solutions, including SIP trunking and mobile device management.
- Ensure seamless integration between telephony platforms and network infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements.
Cloud Networking & SASE Implementation
- Lead the RFP process for SASE solutions and implementation partners.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud networking solutions across hybrid and multi?cloud environments.
- Architect and implement SASE frameworks for secure access.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet compliance requirements.
Cloud Services Management
- Strategic planning and deployment of cloud services related to network and communications platforms.
- Ensure secure and efficient cloud operations, including cost optimization and performance tuning.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor network engineers, telephony specialists, and cloud administrators.
- Promote a high?performance culture and continuous improvement.
Project Management
- Plan, manage, and execute infrastructure, communications, and cloud networking projects.
- Collaborate with cross?functional teams and oversee budgeting and resource allocation.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure all components adhere to security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls across firewall, SASE, and telephony systems.
Success Metrics
- Lead and manage teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Maintain high system uptime and stability.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage costs and optimize resource allocation.
- Track and maintain team performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, unified communications, and cloud networking, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing cloud?based telephony platforms and SASE implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies, network security, AWS, Azure, and telephony systems.
- Proficiency with ITIL v4, performance monitoring tools, ticket tracking systems, and project management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, AWS, Genesys, SASE).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Ansible, Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in IT infrastructure and SASE.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages a team of Infrastructure Engineers, Unified Communications Specialists, Cloud Networking Engineers, and Network Administrators, including ACA full?time associates and near?shore resources.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Professional office setting with standard office equipment. Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
Position Type
Full?time, MondayFriday with occasional adjustments for night and weekend work; up to 10% travel.
