Overview
Marketing Specialist at Levo Credit Union. Under the direction of the VP Marketing & Business Development, this position researches, develops and implements programs and products designed to reflect the credit union brand and build relationships with its members. This role contributes to the daily operations of the department and develops objectives and plans for the marketing activities of the credit union.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the strategic marketing plan, department budget, and annual department objectives based on corporate objectives determined by the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Establish, implement and evaluate goals, objectives and priorities for promotions, product development, market research, and overall credit union presence within the community.
- Assist in the development and creation of promotional campaigns and all publications, media and in-branch advertising, direct mail, press releases, trade shows, and online communications, ensuring activities support the business plan/goals; analyze effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements. Ensure brand, message and product consistency across channels; assist in project management of all deliverables.
- Monitor department expenses to stay within the approved plan and budget; exercise expense control and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate and execute credit union website design and optimization, social media content, online/mobile app ad design/placement, email marketing, in-branch collateral design, branch signage, ad design, event planning, and media pitching. Ensure messages are accurate, brand-consistent, compliant, and timely.
- Oversee database research including standard reports, marketing list generation, segmentation, campaign planning and ROI analysis. Use data analytics for digital optimization of ad design, copy, and placement. May involve coordination with third-party vendors.
- Monitor competitors to identify gaps and recommend product/service enhancements that support the long-term vision. Stay informed on marketing developments and regulatory changes.
- Maintain positive, production-focused communication between Marketing, frontline sales staff and other employees regarding marketing activities and results. Support training and provide presentations as needed to keep staff prepared for marketing initiatives and product rollouts.
- Graphic design responsibilities to interpret credit union needs and deliver high-visual-impact solutions across marketing collateral, website, and brand.
- Leverage opportunities from Foundation donations and sponsorships via social media, videos, events; provide support to Foundation communications/marketing and administration as needed.
- Provide support to the VP Marketing & Business Development, Marketing Manager, and other departments as requested.

Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college; 35 years related experience. Banking or credit union experience is a plus.
- Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization and project management skills; detail-oriented; able to work independently under deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication; public speaking helpful.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in graphic design software and layout (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MS Office). Familiarity with website updates (HubSpot a plus) and email campaigns. Knowledge of social channels and blogging helpful.
- Other Qualifications: Strong leadership and diplomacy; creativity and innovation; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires regular sitting, use of hands, talking/hearing; occasional reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual requirements include near, far, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus. Noise level is usually quiet.
