Respiratory Care Practitioner Positions

The Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients in the NICU/PICU as prescribed by Physicians/NNPs in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines. She/He is responsible for assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. She/He implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. She/He will assess, analyze, customize, coordinate, and communicate the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.

We are hiring for the following Respiratory Care Practitioner positions in the Respiratory Therapy Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Full time, 9.0 FTE, Variable Shift, 36 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications:

  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire, Or
  • National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • 5 years experience in pediatrics respiratory therapy.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.
