Summary

The Senior Media Sales Trainer facilitates learning at Spectrum Reach, the Advertising Sales Division of Charter Communications, Inc. They are a high level contributor, work independently and/or collaboratively on complex projects and are seen as a resource and expert to the organization. This is a senior level position that requires 5 years of training/facilitation experience and up to 5 years of experience in the Advertising industry.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
  • Facilitates learning in a variety of content areas, with focus on the current Advertising landscape and selling skills. Leads learning through a variety of delivery methods to develop participants' skill sets. Mediums may include Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT), rapid learning, eLearnings, and videos.
  • Leads and manages onboarding efforts, ensuring new employees are effectively integrated by coordinating training and sharing resources. Oversees the end-to-end onboarding process for Sales roles, ensuring a consistent, engaging and effective experience. Partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to align onboarding activities with business goals, foster engagement, and support retention. Ensures consistency of onboarding practices across teams.
  • Collaborates with Learning & Development teams, business partners and project teams to analyze learning needs and implement solutions aligned to initiative goals. Takes a lead training role in task forces, committees and team meetings, providing subject matter expertise. Ensures training programs tie to larger company initiatives and priorities.
  • Creates and/or follows facilitator guides to lead learners through activities, discussions and debriefs for consistency. Provides feedback to learners to aid knowledge transfer and behavior change.
  • Applies project management to ensure events are proactively managed for successful execution. Completes pre- and post-training duties, including LMS submissions, session registration, classroom preparation, attendance tracking, evaluations and follow-up communication. Manages communication between learners, leadership and project teams to foster awareness and engagement.
  • Maintains knowledge on course content to evaluate current training solutions and update content timely.
  • Monitors, reports, and recommends delivery modifications to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Seeks input from peers, stakeholders and learners for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues before and during sessions.
  • Shadow trains end-users to gain deeper understanding of how training translates to the business.
  • Pursues development opportunities focused on facilitation and learner engagement.
  • Facilitates self-discovery of strengths and opportunities for development in others.
  • Acts as a peer mentor and as a resource on complex technical issues.
  • Provides backup support as training team lead when needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate expert industry and company-specific knowledge.
  • Fluency in consultative selling strategies and digital advertising products and capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of the organization's selling strategy, workflows, and differentiators for customers.
  • Excellent presentation and classroom management skills, in-person and virtual.
  • Solid knowledge of different learning approaches.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency with CRMs, Order Management Systems and other advertising operations platforms.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Webex and SharePoint preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer focus.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Participation in a professional industry association as a chair or volunteer preferred.
Education
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training and/or work experience.
Related Work Experience
  • 5+ years training delivery experience at professional level or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in the functional area or business unit.
Working Conditions
  • Frequently travels.
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and auto insurance as required by policy.
  • Regularly required to present in-person and virtually to various audience sizes; required to type, read and interpret complex information using a computer; typically works in an indoor office environment.
