Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Design Researcher to join their team! This is a remote position. Duties: Lead research planning and design for multidisciplinary teams of associates and leaders in pursuit of discovery and innovation in enterprise and divisional efforts Support work teams to achieve clear problem statement definition, define big ideas and capabilities, and pressure-test ideas through design research and test and learn methodologies Communicate insights, both written and verbal, and influence business partner’s decision making by providing thought leadership on how insights impact desired business outcomes and roadmaps, strategic opportunities, and firm priorities Recommend creative research approaches to uncover user needs and insights that help business areas within the firm solve novel and complex problems for the enterprise Lead the execution and synthesis of user research that is action-oriented and supports the entire design process, including clear problem statement definition, initial discovery work, pressure-testing ideas and prototypes with users as well as test and learn methodologies Demonstrate agility in ambiguous and complex circumstances to achieve the desired outcome Evaluate a range of potential capabilities and options to achieve the project’s desired outcome Identify and mitigate risks associated with designed experiences delivering on user needs and business outcome
Desired Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Science, or Engineering or equivalent discipline 7 years of progressive design and design research Portfolio with at least 3 projects and case studies demonstrating the journey undertaken during the body of work, not just the destination Advanced skills in design research and a generalist or better in other design disciplines to enable empathy building with users and advancement of developed prototypes and experiences Ability to quickly engage and build trusting relationships to advance the work of design and design research Expertise in design and design research tools and systems thinking

Compensation
The approximate pay range for this position starting at $125,000-$150,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
