Job Description
Telemundo Colorado is seeking a News Anchor – Multimedia Journalist responsible for the on‑air delivery of daily newscasts and for shooting, writing, and editing news stories across all platforms (broadcast, web, social media, OTT).
Responsibilities
- Present newscasts professionally, including breaking news during live broadcasts and across digital, social media, and OTT platforms.
- Set up, shoot, write, and edit news stories for studio and on-location broadcasts.
- Write and produce stories, headlines, and updates for broadcast and all digital platforms, including OTT.
- Ensure stories are fair, accurate, and community‑relevant.
- Generate ideas and report breaking news from the studio or field.
- Coordinate, organize, and conduct interviews.
- Actively share news content on social media platforms.
- Follow NBC – Telemundo social media policies and standards.
- Anchor special projects and non‑news shows.
- Research, plan, and schedule stories or segments.
- Report and anchor from the field, live shots, interviews, and package stories.
- Make appearances at community events, schools, and civic groups on behalf of the station.
- Maintain knowledge of daily news events, past events, and Colorado market news.
- Adjust quickly to late changes and aggressively cover breaking news.
- Understand the station’s mission and priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of television reporting experience; anchoring, shooting, and editing skills with various editing software.
- BA or BS in Journalism or Communications preferred.
- Excellent Spanish writing and speaking skills; ability to ad‑lib effortlessly in breaking‑news situations.
- Strong live reporting skills and enterprise reporting experience preferred.
- Ability to handle intense deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexible schedule with willingness to work 24/7 shifts, long hours, weekends, and holidays on short notice.
Eligibility Requirements
- Willingness to work in Centennial, CO.

- Valid driver’s license.
- Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).

Salary
Salary range: $75k–$95k, based on experience.
