TEKsystems is hiring: Audio Visual Technician in New York

TEKsystems is looking for an Audio Visual Engineer located in New York, NY. The role focuses on providing advanced audiovisual support for client conference rooms and multimedia services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with consolidating internal multimedia support documentation.
• Provide support to fulfill audiovisual technical requirements.
• Quote, order, and install new equipment for A/V projects.
• Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support to local clients and the multimedia team.
• Serve as primary local representative for multimedia services in large conference rooms.
• Provide monthly reports on room usage, open items, equipment maintenance, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain trouble ticket processes, issue resolution logs, and asset management.
• Execute all aspects of videoconference support including call setup, end‑user training, troubleshooting, and issue escalation.
• Consult and educate end users on presentation technologies.
• Troubleshoot audiovisual and videoconferencing technology, including projectors, control systems, audio, and video.
• Provide remote support to technical and non‑technical resources.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of multimedia architecture.
• Maintain conference room integrity and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Escalate housekeeping and technical issues to appropriate departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of A/V technology support experience.
• Ability to produce technical documentation, reference guides, and instructional details.
• Familiarity with Cisco products (pro, kits, TV, speakers, microphones).
• Experience with Zoom, Teams, and WebEx.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
