If you…

  • light up when a concept clicks,
  • can sell a strong idea with clarity and craft, and
  • want teammates who value design as a force for mobilizing a client’s mission,

…let’s talk.

CURA Strategies is a fast-growing, award-winning health care communications and public affairs firm. We’re seeking an Senior Graphic Designer with agency experience to lead multidisciplinary design from brief to launch. You’ll shape visual brands, steward high‑stakes campaigns, and help build CURA’s in‑house creative capability — all in service of our mission to transform health care and improve lives.

What you’ll do

Lead client work

  • Own the creative vision for branding and design engagements — from discovery and concepting to production and activation.
  • Create and evolve visual identities (logos, palettes, typography, motion and usage systems) that work across platforms.
  • Design high‑impact assets — style guides, illustrations, reports, PowerPoints, email templates, social and digital ads, motion/animated graphics.
  • Write tight creative briefs and tactical plans that align strategy, story and design.
  • Drive integrated delivery, partnering closely with account leads, writers, web developers, freelancers and vendors to hit deadlines and quality bars.
  • Scope smartly, defining needs and budgets so design is resourced from day one.
  • Track trends and tools, bringing new thinking in brand, accessibility, motion and AI‑adjacent workflows when useful.

Strengthen the CURA brand

  • Guard and grow our visual identity, maintaining and evolving CURA’s brand guide and asset library.
  • Design flagship materials — capabilities decks, new‑business proposals, digital lead magnets, and thought‑leadership pieces (e.g., Health Policy Profiles).
  • Raise the bar internally, mentoring teammates and shaping best practices for craft, feedback and file hygiene.

Possible additional scope (based on your strengths)

  • Video & motion: Edit short‑form videos and animations; develop motion systems for brands.
  • Web & UX: Create wireframes and page designs; run quick content/UX audits; collaborate with developers to ship accessible, responsive sites.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 6 years of professional design experience (agency experience required)
  • 4+ years client‑facing experience (agency or freelance).
  • Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Visual/Fine Arts or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating brand identity systems, strong conceptual thinking and production excellence (link required).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; XD or Figma) and PowerPoint (you know how to make decks sing).
  • Strategic, mission‑minded creativity — especially for issue‑based campaigns.
  • Calm, collaborative leadership in fast‑moving, integrated teams; clear written and verbal communication; polished client presentations.
  • New business readiness — experience contributing and designing proposals.

Nice to have

  • Experience with health care clients (biopharma, hospitals/health systems, medical societies, patient advocacy).
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, basic HTML/CSS.
  • Motion design/video editing chops.

What we offer

  • Unlimited PTO after one year of employment
  • Weekly free lunches (plus lots of free snacks and drinks in the office)
  • Robust health benefits program
  • 401K with company match
  • Hybrid work environment (3 days in office)
  • Company outings and social gatherings
  • Professional learning and development opportunities
  • Paid maternity/paternity leave
  • Transportation and mobile stipends
