Overview
FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Public Relations Senior Executive will develop and execute public relations strategies, collaborate with the Public Relations Manager, and create data‑driven multimedia strategies to meet and exceed client goals.
Position is contingent upon contract award
Work Schedule and Location
Hybrid: This full‑time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
- Determine needs, develop and execute accounts or opportunities specific to the client's needs.
- Gather, validate, and analyze preliminary information via online research, social media platforms, networking, and other sources to seek optimization opportunities that ladder into client goals.
- Prepare and present performances to the client with a storytelling focus and strong emphasis on data visualization.
- Collaborate with Public Relations Manager and team counterparts.
- Build and manage a plan to identify opportunities and strategies to meet and exceed client goals.
- Work with Public Relations Manager and support teams to build and execute client projects, collaborating with Marketing and Editorial departments.
- Keep abreast of changes and developments in marketing and communications to maintain a deep understanding of the client's needs and maximize the use of resources.
- Develop reports and data‑driven multimedia strategies and track client activities and projects in real‑time to ensure assistance and improvement in client execution.
- Research industry related topics, identify gaps in the client's content, write original copy for ads and social platforms, prepare and publish articles that promote the client's needs, and edit and fact‑check content generated by other departments.
- Create and oversee reports on content, get knowledgeable with client industry to monitor metrics related to the content and ensure the same is up to date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- A very results‑driven approach, strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Agency experience, digital influencer expertise, extensive media contacts, and ability to work well both individually and collaboratively.
- Good understanding of industry trends, marketing strategies, and plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, negotiation, leadership, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, presentation skills, highly organized, and a keen ability for problem‑solving and negotiation.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English.
