UI/UX Designer (Manager) at KPMG US

KPMG is currently seeking a UI/UX Designer (Manager) to join our Audit Technology Alliance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of intuitive, effective, and user‑centric experiences for our generative AI products, with a specialized focus on creating seamless Human‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) workflows
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, AI engineers, and audit professionals to translate complex user stories and technical requirements into elegant and practical design solutions
  • Establish and champion a comprehensive design system, including best practices, UI patterns, and component libraries, to ensure a consistent, high‑quality, and reliable user experience across the entire product suite
  • Drive the product's user‑centric evolution by conducting user research, leading usability testing sessions, and analyzing feedback to iteratively refine and enhance the human‑agent interaction model
  • Develop and own the end‑to‑end user journey map, ensuring every interaction is thoughtfully designed to align with the strategic vision of transforming and automating the audit process
  • Provide hands‑on creation of high‑fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of recent professional experience in UI/UX design for complex, data‑intensive enterprise applications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; master's degree in Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing sophisticated, user‑centric interfaces, particularly for products involving AI, machine learning, or complex data analytics
  • Proven experience working within an Agile development environment, utilizing SDLC tools such as Azure DevOps and Git for design handoffs and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing effective Human‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) systems that facilitate intuitive and efficient user interaction with AI agents
  • Exceptional communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to stakeholders and navigate the unique challenges of designing for emerging technologies
