The Senior Producer is responsible for taking the lead and managing video projects from concept to completion. The role requires maintaining the high-level production value that our clients demand while collaborating with a team of talented production professionals to realize the story vision. You will lead and manage a small team of at least one producer or associate producer and partner with top production vendors. The position reports directly to the VP/Executive Producer.

Snow’s business is centered around the patient journey. The Senior Producer must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of patients and caregivers, incorporating that experience into strategies and solutions for clients.

PATIENT PRIVACY

The core of our business is working with patients. You will frequently encounter personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI) of patients living with chronic illness. The Senior Producer will be required to complete and adhere to training courses that include:

  • Snow Policies and Procedures
  • HIPAA requirements such as the Privacy Rule, the Security Rule, and Sunshine Act reporting
  • Adverse Event (AE) Reporting
  • Promotional requirements for pharmaceuticals under the FDA, FTC, and other applicable federal or state regulations
  • Privacy and Data Security

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Producer must perform the following essential duties and functions and may be required to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Producing

  • Manage a small team of at least one producer or associate producer.
  • Collaborate with the in-house production team to concept, plan, and execute productions.
  • Work with account teams to determine video needs, create concepts and proposals, and present them to accounts and clients.
  • Hire and manage production vendors.
  • Conceptualize, plan, prioritize, and implement a video production schedule, including call sheets, scheduling talent and crew, locating venues, and managing the budget.
  • Supervise all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Write shooting scripts and/or prepare storyboards describing footage, graphics, music/SFX, narration, and dialogue based on approved creative treatments.
  • Obtain locations, props, and wardrobe.
  • Maintain departmental workflow processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Research content as needed; conduct pre-interviews with patients, healthcare professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Review footage, write editing scripts, and supervise editing to meet brand standards and content‑time constraints.

Directing

  • Effectively direct projects and lead the team on set.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with video crew.
  • Interview and coach talent during shoots.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Photography to ensure lighting, framing, and camera movement align with the story.
  • Coordinate with the on‑set producer and AD to keep schedules on track.
  • Work with clients on set to ensure accurate brand representation.
  • Write editing scripts from raw footage.
  • Oversee the editing process and graphic creation, spearheading the review process and managing internal account/team changes with collaboration and professionalism.

The Senior Producer may be asked to perform additional duties consistent with those listed above based on business needs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

  • Proficient with Mac and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expert knowledge of the production cycle from concept to completion.
  • Expert at conducting high‑level interviews.
  • Extensive experience writing scripts, concepts, and treatments.

Skills

  • Detail‑oriented with proven ability to work under deadline pressure.
  • Accurate and hyper‑detail‑focused when reviewing client‑facing scripts and videos.

Abilities

  • Demonstrate creative decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, resourcefulness, and multi‑tasking abilities.
  • Effectively manage project schedules and work under rigorous time constraints.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Media/Video Production or a related field with six years of production experience at an agency, production house, or news station.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Noise level is usually moderate. Minimal physical risk.

HYBRID

The position requires a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside or relocate to the Williamsburg, Virginia area and be expected to be in office three times weekly.
