Social Media Graphic Designer – Cella

Job Type: 3‑6 month contract with potential for extension.
Hours: 9 am – 6 pm.
Compensation Range: $35–$40 per hour (W2).
As a Graphic Designer, you are a talented and motivated creative professional with design strategy and innovative solutions at your core. You will leverage proven communication and conceptual thinking skills to articulate ideas and implement advanced creative solutions for multifaceted design projects. You will conduct design consultations to help conceptualize and execute social and paid media solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Consult with internal clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships.
Collaborate with art directors, cross‑disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to develop and execute compelling design solutions and engaging ideas rooted in strategy that move business forward.
Exhibit business acumen, create innovative design solutions, and stay abreast of industry trends.
Be an instrumental contributor to a high‑performing team environment and passionately mentor peers while delivering outstanding client experiences.
Develop and co‑develop creative briefs, storyboards, and layouts to effectively communicate persuasive and inclusive design ideas.
Design clear and visually compelling pitches and presentations.
Mentor creative project team members to develop conceptual skills and provide constructive feedback to implement the project vision.
Act as a project manager for assigned projects, creating timelines and estimates that align with internal clients’ budgets.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Creative digital portfolio demonstrating outstanding conceptual thinking and design skills with an emphasis on social and paid media marketing campaigns.
Five or more years of senior graphic design experience with social and paid media focus.
Experience working in a fast‑paced, matrixed agency or in‑house team environment to develop a range of creative initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong knowledge and skills in designing for presentations, video/animation storyboards, social and paid campaigns, and marketing collateral.
Ability to understand the internal client’s vision through active listening, advanced communication, and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers, and internal team members.
Ability to develop creative briefs, mood boards, and image boards.
Ability to strategize and lead ideation sessions with creative colleagues and clients.
Sound business acumen to adapt while working alongside client‑serving professionals.
Excel at managing multiple projects, prioritizing milestones, and influencing clients and design colleagues to deliver desirable solutions within timeframes and budgets.
Ability to initiate and successfully engage in creative ideation sessions and design sprints.
Advanced technical understanding of digital media and print design in‑house and with vendors.
Willingness to accept administrative responsibilities such as project management and internal client communications along with creative development and design.
Agreeable to a hybrid work arrangement—remote and at a local EY office on Day 1 and as required by business needs.
Portfolio Must Demonstrate
Experience in social and paid media campaigns.
Video work and ability to storyboard for video teams.
Event branding (e.g., booth design, branding spaces for sponsorship events).
Simplicity and relevance: a curated, edited portfolio with 5–6 key projects, each with context, challenges, and results.
Versatility: range of work including events, campaigns, proposals, web‑based projects.
Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Ability to design and storyboard for video (not required to execute motion/animation).
Strong PowerPoint design skills—must be able to design and pitch in PowerPoint; essential for the role.
