Data Analyst and Data Visualization Specialist OPS
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Job type: Temporary, Part‑Time (Monday through Friday; Wednesday, 9am‑2pm in the office)
Department: College of Social Work – Institute for Quality Children’s Service
Responsibilities
Transform raw data into clear, actionable insights through analysis and compelling visual representations using Power BI and statistical tools.
Collaborate with team members to ensure data findings are accurately interpreted and aligned with project objectives.
Apply statistical techniques (SPSS, Stata, Mplus, or R) to analyze complex datasets, including descriptive, inferential, and multivariate methods.
Manage and prepare datasets using Excel, cleaning, transforming, and validating data for analysis.
Maintain an up‑to‑date database on children’s residential services and create public‑facing interactive resource maps using GIS or other relevant tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience (or equivalent post‑high‑school education and experience totaling six years).
Proficiency with Power BI and advanced data analysis and reporting.
Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, Stata, Mplus, or R.
Strong knowledge and proficiency in current data visualization platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree with advanced training in a relevant concentration.
Additional Information
Background check required.
This is an OPS/temporary position; part‑time with scheduled office days on Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm.
