The Cloud Design and Install Lead designs, implements, and oversees cloud infrastructure solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic planning and leadership, focusing on aligning cloud architecture with business goals while ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of enterprise‑wide cloud strategies, including multi‑cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid‑cloud approaches.
Act as the technical expert for cloud solutions, overseeing their end‑to‑end design, implementation, and deployment; translate business and technical requirements into a secure, reliable, and scalable cloud architecture.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineers and other IT teams; foster a culture of technical excellence and mentor junior staff.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
Define and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and access control policies; work with security teams to ensure the cloud environment meets or exceeds security and regulatory standards.
Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage to optimize performance and reduce costs; implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively address issues.
Stay current with emerging cloud trends and technologies, such as containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), serverless computing, and AI/ML services, and evaluate their potential for the organization.
Act as a liaison between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, communicating complex concepts and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience.
TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
Expert‑level knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Deep understanding of virtual networking, load balancing, and network security.
Competency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical teams and executive leadership.
Leadership qualities with a talent for collaboration and mentorship.
