Description
Under the supervision of UCLA Cardiac Imaging Physicians, perform all 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies. Responsibilities include notifying physicians for urgent or pre-operative echo readings, preparing preliminary interpretations, and maintaining records related to echo studies. Additional duties may be assigned by the physicians and manager. Salary: $58.53-$77.26 hourly Qualifications
Required: Graduate of a Cardiac Echocardiography Technology Program Adult: ARDMS-RDCS (AE); Pediatrics: ARDMS-RDCS (PE) At least 3 years of adult or pediatric/fetal echo tech experience BLS Card from AHA or ARC Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology Ability to apply ultrasound techniques to clinical evaluations Ability to operate echo machines weighing over 500 lbs for distances up to 100 feet Manual dexterity to manipulate transducers and machine controls Proficiency with PC and word processing software for reports Ability to make preliminary evaluations and generate reports Maintain logs, track charges, and ensure proper billing Ability to work independently and complete tasks timely Strong interpersonal skills for professional interactions Ability to interpret physician instructions and follow policies Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS)
