Job Overview Reporting to the VP/CIO, the IT Systems & Services Designer is responsible for the end‑to‑end design of IT systems and services. The role focuses on creating and enhancing the overall experience that users have when interacting with products, systems, or services, defining how the product looks and feels, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners to bring that vision to life.

The Designer will also push the visual craft, polish, and consistency of our product UI to the next level, ensuring it resonates with our users and stands out. The role bridges the gap between high‑level business needs and technical implementation, translating requirements into detailed designs and specifications that can be built, tested, and deployed effectively.

This position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday hours.

Essential Functions

Defines and executes long‑term design strategy aligned with business objectives and drives design thinking methodology across the organization.

Identifies opportunities for innovation and leads exploratory design initiatives.

Establishes and evolves design standards and best practices and ensures consistent, high‑quality design implementation.

Owns end‑to‑end design process for major product initiatives.

Creates comprehensive design systems that scale.

Develops user flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity prototypes.

Applies data analytics to inform design decisions.

Leads design sprints and innovation workshops.

Leads design reviews and provides constructive feedback.

Requirements Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in design, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems and services design.

Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated in‑depth abilities in user interface design.

Experience in design research, prototyping, and testing designs with customers.

Demonstrated expertise in turning design research into tangible, actionable design outcomes.

Effective communication and presentation of design rationales to stakeholders.

A portfolio demonstrating solutions that represent the most user‑centric intersection of content, business, technology, and design.

Expert knowledge of mobile user‑centered design principles, UX Design best practices, trends, and emerging conventions for iOS, Android, and Web.

Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

High degree of creativity and problem solving.

Strong conceptual, visual, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in design, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

Relevant industry certifications.

Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive consensus on design decisions across multiple teams.

Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and constraints and develop optimized, practical solutions.

Salary Minimum Starting Salary: $80,000.00

Maximum Starting Salary: $100,000.00

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
