WORKING CONDITIONS:Located primarily on South Campus unless otherwise stated by the department. Must be able to travel to Center Campus on occasion too. Potential to work weekends and/or evening for events.PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to stand and walk around campus and events to capture and participate in social media contentHOURS: 10 - 15 hours a week Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge- Active on major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)Skill- Strong communication, sociable and interpersonal skills.Ability- Must be comfortable speaking in front of a camera, either by yourself or with other students on campus or at events. Supervision:
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from Director of Marketing. May take direction from Social Media Specialist. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None.
Job Function
This position supports the college's Social Media Marketing team in promoting the college's brand through social media platforms. This position provides hands-on experience in social content creation. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated and passionate about social media marketing. High school graduate. Currently enrolled as a Macomb Community College student. Relevant course work and an interest in marketing/social media is preferred. Qualifications
Prior experience working as a social media assistant or coordinator, is preferable, but not necessary. This position is not eligible for benefits. 01
