The Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) operating unit (OU) is committed to excellence in innovation and commercialization to pursue our vision and long-term business growth. The ACM organization is refining its product delivery, innovation, and commercialization approach to enable product leadership across all segments of our product portfolio. This will require enhancing our innovative processes and refining our design and delivery approaches to deliver an integrated, comprehensive portfolio that enables product development excellence across ACM. We're working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite in our Lafayette, Colorado office as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Upstream Product Manager to drive our portfolio strategy and product innovation for our flagship Nellcor business. This role is responsible for assessing market opportunities, developing new product concepts, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams from ideation through commercialization to ensure that we lead the market with our best‑in‑class technology and market access. Key responsibilities include:

Drive upstream marketing activities, including market research, customer segmentation, and identification of unmet customer needs.

Develop concepts in alignment with portfolio strategy, long‑range planning, and innovation roadmap.

Build and validate business cases for new product opportunities, including market sizing, financial modeling, and competitive analysis.

Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and downstream marketing to integrate customer insights into product development.

Actively foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Present portfolio strategies and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Ensure alignment with global and regional marketing teams for successful product launches and lifecycle management.

Flexible for Global travel, approximately 30 – 40 % Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, product management, or strategy, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Must have upstream marketing experience, including product strategy and portfolio management.

Nice to Have:

10+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or strategy, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Experience working in a regulated environment (Patient monitoring or other Med Tech experience).

Track record of bringing new products from concept to market.

PR) locations (USD): $134,400.00 – $201,600.00. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States.
