We are looking for an experienced QA engineer to drive manual and automated testing within Prime Video Playback services across a broad technology stack. This role involves deep involvement on projects from design to development & deployment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of the Prime Video playback experience on Live Sports, Movies and TV Shows.

You will work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. You will also collaborate with Product Management and UX designers to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real‑world environments and regression tests, driving the software development process toward quality‑centric methodologies. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering manual/automated solutions to test customer‑facing features.

Prime Video is a first‑stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports—including Amazon MGM Studios‑produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add‑on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end‑to‑end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state‑of‑the‑art experiences for our customers. You’ll work on fast‑paced, challenging projects, experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.

Key Job Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and product releases.

Bug Identification and Resolution: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.

Automation tooling: Develop, extend, and maintain automated tests on iOS, Android, Web, and Living Room Clients to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements to enhance overall product quality.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

Experience in manual testing

Experience in automation testing

Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in API & Mobile testing

Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay for this position ranges from $75,700/year in the lowest geographic market up to $183,100/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
