Communications Specialist with Security Clearance

We are currently looking for a Communications Specialist to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer located in McLean, VA. Primary Responsibilities Include: Prepare the CRI annual report and present it to CRI senior leadership team by the end of the first quarter of the calendar year. Develop effective corporate communication strategies Manage internal communications (leadership messages, newsletters, etc.) Draft content (e.g. events, notifications) for email or internal website Organize initiatives and work with CRI Front Office to plan off-sites, events, or all-hands Liaise with other contractors and handle requests for interviews, statements, etc. Foster relationships with CRI Front Office and Leadership Collaborate with graphic and web support to produce copy for articles Perform "damage control" in cases of bad publicity (i.e. communications to the tenants regarding events) Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership Requirements: The Communications Specialist shall demonstrate the following abilities: Proven experience as communications specialist Demonstrated ability to develop effective corporate communications strategies Ability to manage internal communications (newsletters, notifications, web content) Preparing well-structured draft documents for review of CRI Leadership Experience in web design and content production is a plus Be deadline driven Experience in copywriting and editing Solid understanding of project management principles Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills Outstanding organizational and planning abilities Proficient command of English Degree in related field or min of 5 years on the job experience Writing sample requested: Samples may include up to a maximum of 2 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman - 12 size font, of multiple corporate communication examples that demonstrate required Communications Specialist abilities.
