Digital Advertising Product Manager

to enhance our Cox Media team. This role is essential in overseeing the lifecycle management of our advertising products, which play a vital part in our local advertising portfolio. As the Product Manager, you will drive revenue through existing products, initiate enhancements, launch new offerings, and assess underperforming products. Key Responsibilities: Exhibit expertise in assigned products by orchestrating cross-departmental collaboration that contributes to the success of the Product Management Team, including: Collaborating with the Sales team to discover strategies that increase market share, product usage, and revenue. Working with Cox Media markets to manage product launches and enhancements, delivering thorough training, impactful marketing materials, and gathering valuable market feedback. Connecting with the Marketing Center of Excellence to position product offerings effectively based on data-driven insights. Partnering with third-party vendors, Digital Center of Excellence, and Operations teams to align fulfillment and billing practices with the Cox Media sales philosophy. Engaging the Business Enablement team to ensure internal stakeholder needs are captured and addressed throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborating with the Finance team to design and manage an operating plan and budget for assigned products while overseeing expenses, including vendor payments. Pushing product enhancements forward by defining requirements with technology in an agile development framework. Assist in outlining business cases to support product and services roadmap investments, identifying new opportunities to enhance portfolio value. Make recommendations regarding programs that significantly impact business outcomes, with an understanding of the potential risks of unsuccessful initiatives. Continuously explore programmatic inventory sources for optimization opportunities, maximizing campaign yields through partnerships in the OTT/CTV ecosystem. Investigate the marketplace for new inventory sources that can increase revenue, leading partnerships and negotiations with supply partners and publishers. Collaborate with field local sales, national rep firms, and other sales channels to ensure a comprehensive understanding of products across each group. Provide subject matter expertise on products and client strategies to local, national, and sales teams. Manage third-party vendor relationships, ensuring high accountability and customer service, coupled with ongoing performance evaluations. Establish and maintain productive relationships, both internally and externally, that support products and services aligned with company goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Marketing, Advertising, Business, etc.) with 6 years of relevant experience; a master's degree with up to 4 years of experience or a PhD with 1 year of experience may be considered, along with equivalent experience (18 years) in lieu of a degree. Demonstrated experience with Digital Media advertising products required. Experience with digital video advertising, Freewheel, and tools like Audience Manager is essential. Understanding advanced video advertising concepts, including Addressable TV and Programmatic advertising, is crucial. Proficient in working collaboratively across departmental boundaries to achieve shared goals. Adept at managing external partners to fulfill company objectives effectively. Strong prioritization skills to drive impactful business results. Ability to create detailed work plans and perform well under pressure while being a proactive team player. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated organizational abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Capability to build constructive partnerships with diverse internal and external teams. Commitment to personal development and staying informed about industry trends. Influencing stakeholders across the organization effectively. Experience in strategic analysis and planning. Willingness to travel as needed. Proficient in PC software, especially MS products. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of management experience or leading cross-functional projects. 1+ year of supervisory or management experience. Familiarity with project management software is beneficial. Experience with DSP/SSP and inventory negotiation. Compensation: The base salary for this position ranges from $108,800.00 to $181,400.00, varying based on location and the candidate's qualifications. Additional compensation may be available through incentive programs.
