About the Team: Quizlet’s marketing team is responsible for driving brand awareness, user engagement, and subscription growth. This role will report to the Head of Product Marketing, and it will be highly cross‑functional.
About the Role: As a Lead Product Marketing Manager at Quizlet, you’ll define how we connect with and inspire millions of students and teachers worldwide. This highly strategic role sits at the crossroads of product, storytelling, and go-to-market leadership — driving impact across the full funnel, from acquisition and activation to engagement and retention.
You’ll lead cross-functional go-to-market strategies for major launches and campaigns, collaborating with Product, Growth, Lifecycle, Paid Marketing, and Brand/Social leaders. With a strong command of insights, positioning, and narrative development, you’ll ensure Quizlet’s story is consistent, compelling, and drives measurable business outcomes.
You’re a confident communicator and strategic storyteller who can synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives. You excel at leading cross‑functional alignment, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and driving consensus among senior stakeholders.
We’re looking for a decisive, data-informed leader who can interpret results, shape business strategy, and guide teams toward shared understanding and impact. While this role doesn’t include direct people management, it requires exceptional leadership presence — someone who can advise, influence, and inspire peers and executives across the organization.

In this role, you will:
Lead go-to-market strategy for major launches and cross-product initiatives.
Set the strategic direction for audience targeting, positioning, and messaging.
Partner with cross-functional leadership to align product, brand, and growth goals.
Translate complex research and insights into strategic recommendations that shape product roadmaps and marketing execution.
Oversee integrated campaigns that engage students, teachers, and other key audiences across owned, paid, and community channels.
Guide and elevate the creative process — from messaging frameworks to naming and narrative development.
Analyze performance data to drive continuous learning and scalable playbooks.
Own PMM foundations, including competitive analysis, audience strategy, and differentiated value propositions.
Mentor junior PMMs and contribute to the evolution of the team’s best practices.
What you bring to the table:
10+ years in product marketing or related roles, including time in consumer tech and experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
Demonstrated success in leading major product or platform launches with measurable business impact.
Exceptional storytelling and messaging development skills — able to articulate a clear, differentiated vision across diverse audiences and channels.
Deep experience leveraging research, experimentation, and data to guide product positioning, segmentation, and go-to-market strategies.
Proven ability to influence and align executive and cross-functional partners across Product, Design, and Marketing.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance high-level vision and executional detail.
Expert communication and presentation skills — comfortable shaping strategy and inspiring alignment at all levels of the organization.
Experience leading comprehensive market research programs and competitive intelligence efforts.
Strategic understanding of key product and marketing metrics, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and tradeoffs.
Thrives in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments and brings a scaling mindset to team and process development.

Familiarity with the Ed Tech landscape and/or Gen Z consumers
Experience working within a freemium consumer subscriptions business
Experience driving cross-selling and onsite marketing campaigns
