Graphic Designer - Turf
Position Overview Shaw Turf is a leading synthetic turf company, supporting three brands which focus on sports, landscape, and golf market segments. We are seeking a motivated and strategic Graphic Designer to join an in‑house creative environment. This role will work closely with creative leaders, marketing managers, operations, digital media producers, and other stakeholders.
The Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in supporting our brands, creating visually compelling designs that resonate with both B2B and B2C audiences. This role will nest within the content+creative team and support brand, marketing, and operations. The work will encompass digital and print: branded campaign assets, video, websites, newsletters, social creative, events, packaging, presentations, signage, training materials, and overseeing custom field‑designs for key customers. This role will lead athletic field rendering projects for the Shaw Sports Turf brand. Working alongside CAD Engineers, the designer will lead concept development for field visualization to bring high‑impact ideas to life. This work will be supported with contract designers or interns to convert approved designs into accurate, manufacturable layouts for production.
This position operates out of Calhoun, GA and is expected to be in office 3 days/week.
Key Responsibilities
Drive design for creative content (digital and print) for brands and marketing.
Serve as creative consultant for Game On and CreaTurf product, managing 1‑3 interns/contractors focused on customized field renderings.
Collaborate with marketing to develop design strategies aligned with brand goals.
Utilize AI design tools to enhance and streamline the design process.
Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel.
Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into designs.
Excellent project management skills for tight deadlines, revisions, and changing priorities.
Work with suppliers and creative vendors to obtain price quotes and ensure timely production.
Manage and uphold identity and design standards of the turf brands.
Strong layout, design, and typographic skills required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a designer, preferably in the B2B and B2C sectors.
Proficiency in AI design tools and software (Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Digital design skills, including video and web.
Excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.
Ability to manage multiple high‑stakes projects and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Technical design skills: file prep, scaling, and pattern repeat knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Project portfolio.
Preferred
Experience in an educational, agency, or corporate environment.
Sports enthusiast.
