Compensation: $85K–$110K base + performance bonus

Get Back Necklaces is a Southern California jewelry brand rooted in surf culture, adventure, and good vibes. We create iconic pieces — like our St. Christopher necklaces — that represent protection, connection, and community. What started as a small coastal brand has grown into a global movement that celebrates individuality and belonging.

Now, we’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager (also known as a Head of Retention) to take our customer experience to the next level — building deeper connections, growing LTV, and driving retention through authentic storytelling and powerful lifecycle strategy.

The Role

You’ll own the entire customer journey from first purchase to lifelong fan.

That means leading our email, SMS, and loyalty programs — building retention systems that feel personal, genuine, and unmistakably Get Back.

You’ll work directly with our CEO, creative, and paid teams to shape a best-in-class lifecycle strategy that turns one-time buyers into lifelong customers who rep the brand everywhere they go.

What You’ll Do

Retention Strategy

  • Build and own our retention roadmap — increase repeat purchase rate, AOV, and LTV.
  • Create segmentation strategies that reflect our community: first-time, repeat, VIP, and winback audiences.
  • Partner with paid media and product teams to align lifecycle campaigns with new drops, promos, and giveaways.

Email & SMS

  • Manage Klaviyo (email) and Attentive (SMS) campaigns and automations from concept to reporting.
  • Audit, build, and optimize flows: welcome, post-purchase, winback, replenishment, VIP, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with creative on copy and visuals that match our brand voice — fun, relatable, and human.

Loyalty, Referral & Community

  • Oversee our loyalty and referral stack using Referral Candy (refer-a-friend program) and Social Snowball (brand ambassador management).
  • Develop programs that reward advocacy and deepen our customer connection.
  • Expand community-driven initiatives that celebrate our audience — from surprise-and-delight moments to brand storytelling campaigns.

Data & Performance

  • Analyze performance weekly: deliverability, conversion, flow revenue, retention KPIs.
  • Use insights to iterate and scale what works — always testing, always improving.
What Success Looks Like
  • 35–45% of total revenue attributed to email/SMS.
  • +10–15% YoY increase in repeat purchase rate.
  • Higher LTV and stronger customer engagement across touchpoints.
  • Seamless collaboration with creative, paid, and CX teams.
You’ll Thrive If You…
  • Have 4–8 years of DTC eCommerce experience (lifestyle, jewelry, or apparel a plus).
  • Are fluent in Klaviyo, Attentive, Referral Candy, and Social Snowball.
  • Know how to build campaigns that make customers feel something.
  • Are both analytical and creative — can read the data and write the vibe.
  • Love surf culture, community, and storytelling that feels authentic.
  • Work fast, stay organized, and love being part of a small, high-performing team.
