Machine Learning Engineer, Openings Studio
Location: Phoenix, AZ (must be available to work onsite)

What you will be doing:
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Openings Studio, you will help discover new ways to make our users lives faster and easier, leveraging traditional machine learning techniques and large language modeling & generative AI solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Report to the Commercial Development Manager and collaborate with Openings Studio software engineers, Product Owner, and divisions to identify technical opportunities for growth in AI and ML.
- Build and evaluate innovative first?of?a?kind solutions for real?world use?cases, from research prototypes to client?ready solutions.
- Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of front?end development, new technologies, open?source and commercial offerings.
- Train, evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve deployed machine learning models.
- Maintain vector databases for RAG and agentic workflows and build data pipelines.
- Select hosting platforms, services, hardware specifications, and scale API services to meet business requirements.
- Liaise with business and development teams, absorb feedback on deployed solutions, and identify future improvement opportunities.
Education and/or Experience:
- College/University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 23 years of professional experience in machine learning, including at least 1 year producing and scaling ML APIs.
- Self?motivated with strong planning and organization for demanding workloads.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and SQL.
- Experience with API platforms such as Postman, Azure API Management, or Boomi.
- Experience with BI frameworks and MS Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with library frameworks such as SciKit?Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or equivalents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Openings Studio in practical or field application, or functional experience in construction or manufacturing.
- Front?end language knowledge (JavaScript/HTML/CSS).
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with agentic workflows and familiarity with MCP Servers.
- Experience integrating frontend and backend APIs for UI/UX requirements.
Special considerations:
- Must be based in Phoenix, Arizona and available to work onsite Monday through Friday.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required by business.
