We are seeking a Technical Editor/Content Writer to support the redevelopment of our website and mobile application for The Donovan’s Piano Room.

What you’ll do:

  • Content Development: Create, revise, and standardize written content for digital interfaces, product listings, and marketing materials.
  • Editorial Review: Edit and proofread copy for clarity, tone, grammar, and technical accuracy. Ensure compliance with internal style guidelines and brand standards.
  • Information Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to structure content logically and ensure that written material enhances navigation and usability.
  • Product Documentation: Write clear, concise descriptions for books, merchandise, gift cards, and membership packages, including specifications and key features.
  • Digital Campaigns: Draft and optimize text for banners, CTAs, Google Ads, and promotional messaging to support user engagement and conversion goals.
  • Content Verification: Research and fact-check all published materials to ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms.
  • Version Control: Maintain organized documentation of content revisions and approvals throughout the design process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Suite, project leads, marketing, and development teams to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in technical writing, content editing, or digital publishing.
  • Strong command of editorial best practices, including plain language principles and digital content standards.
  • Familiarity with UX writing, content management systems, and documentation workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to balance precision and readability.
  • Capacity to work independently, manage deadlines, and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Availability to dedicate 10 hours per week (M-F).
  • A portfolio or samples demonstrating strong editing and writing capabilities.
