Systems Manager (Network Design & Protocols, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, AD, DHCP) – Tulsa, OK Job Function: Systems Manager Date Of Job Posting: 10-28-2025 Location: Tulsa, OK Salary: Excellent Compensation with Benefits + Relocation DURATION: Full-Time DESCRIPTION The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for determining requirements, developing project plans, implementation and providing operational technical support to meet expected functionality of new or existing Servers, workstation hardware and software systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Establish objectives and goals for our network servers, workstations, and applications consistent with overall project planning and vision. Collaborate with stakeholders, department management, and internal resources to provide smooth and reliable operation of applications and ensure the underlying infrastructure fulfills business objectives. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Lead complex projects and serve as escalation point for incidents or problems with high complexity. Provide technical planning for users, information services, and network services departments. Plan, design, configure, and implement server‑based software/hardware with minimal impact on overall network availability and performance. Design operational and administrative requirements and specifications for network servers. Ensure workstations and applications comply with institutional/departmental policy and procedures. Plan, implement, and maintain network hardware/software systems to operate at optimum levels as specified by vendors and the organization. Operate non‑routine procedures under changing conditions, following general instructions from supervisor. Coordinate activities of others (does not supervise). Lead others in same work performed (does not supervise). Work directly with internal and external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction. Work with other healthcare professionals and staff. Frequently interact with individuals at Director level or above. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum five (5) years of related experience, including three (3) years of large network server and workstation support experience. Expert‑level knowledge in server and virtualization systems. Demonstrated knowledge in Data Center Operations. Working knowledge of storage platforms, backup/recovery systems, cloud infrastructure, and associated platforms and tools. Demonstrated understanding of systems design and architecture with the ability to research, test, and recommend new or enhanced technologies. Functional understanding of Network design and protocols. Functional knowledge of Virtual Desktop platforms, Citrix or VMware. In‑depth understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including management and operational tools (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, ADFS, Azure). Ability to work in high‑stress situations and collaborative settings. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to comprehensively document systems, procedures, and protocols. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Ten (10) years of enterprise‑level experience, in lieu of Bachelor's degree may be considered. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES Applicable professional certification(s) related to server operating systems and/or infrastructure applications such as: Other industry‑standard Professional Certification.
