The Security Engineering Program (SEP) under Homeland and Force Protection at Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Radio Communications Technician. This role involves providing remote and on-site support for the installation, repair, and maintenance of radio communication systems across various locations.

This position requires a deep understanding of advanced technical principles and effective problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be key to diagnosing technical issues, preparing analysis reports, and managing Communications Security (COMSEC) materials. Your duties will also include on-site support and assisting with procedural and policy changes within your area. The ideal candidate will oversee entire projects, mentor peers, and collaborate extensively with internal teams to resolve complex technical challenges. Expect approximately 25% travel, with potential peaks up to 50% initially.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum TS Clearance and be eligible for a program SCI and Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in telecommunications, electrical, and computer engineering related to communication technologies.
  • Expertise in VSAT and mobile satellite platforms supporting multimedia PTT and PTM communication.
  • Experience operating and programming UHF, VHF 700/800 MHz in various operational modes.
  • Background in COMSEC account management.
  • Proficient with both wireless and wired telecommunications, engaging with commercial carriers, and managing project scopes including procurement and scheduling.
  • Normal color vision is required.
  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • Must have physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 45 pounds and navigating uneven surfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Land Mobile Radio Systems and Tactical Communications.

Pay Range: $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
