Summary The
Expeditor / Material Handler II
is a
certified forklift operator
responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our high-volume print manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency with
multiple types of forklifts —including sit-down, stand-up, reach, and clamp trucks—as well as pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
You’ll play a critical part in supporting production by ensuring timely transport of materials between warehouse, press, bindery, and shipping areas. Accuracy, safety awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility are essential to success in this position.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $20–$22 per hour (based on experience)

Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach, and clamp) and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the facility
Retrieve, deliver, and stage raw materials and finished products based on production schedules and Material Request forms
Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks efficiently
Wrap, label, and move completed product to designated shipping or staging areas
Print and assign serial number labels for rolls and materials
Receive, review, and accurately input purchase orders into the system
Locate materials or purchase orders by item number or vendor using internal tracking systems
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards
Report equipment issues or safety hazards immediately to management
Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow and efficiency
Ensure 100% order accuracy, quality, and timely completion of all assigned tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred — equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
Valid forklift certification with proficiency in operating multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach, and clamp)
Minimum 1 year of forklift and pallet jack experience in a warehouse or production environment
Strong math and organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory lookup
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness
Proven integrity, accountability, and reliability in fast-paced environments

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
