Atlanta, GA Job Summary
As a CDL Driver you will play a crucial role by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non?cash payments as necessary. In this role, you will Properly conduct a pre? and post?trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects, and abide by DOT hours?of?service rules. Handle dedicated overnight routes where applicable. Accurately deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand?stack and correctly load them into customer accounts. Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer, obtain signature, and collect payment if required. Ensure physical security of the truck at all times. Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, up to 30 during peak periods. Cover approximately 160 miles daily, with occasional increases up to 300 miles for out?of?town routes. Possibly work with one or more helpers. Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns. Utilize a smartphone for interaction with HOS software and/or driver monitoring programs.
What you bring to RNDC
High school diploma or GED. Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Current Class B CDL drivers license (Class A allowed where required) and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements. Valid DOT medical certification card filed with the state Motor Vehicle Department. ABC License as required by the state.
