Job Summary/Description WBTV is searching for a weekend morning anchor who embodies passion, drive, and a commitment to excellence at the premier legacy station in the Carolinas. This person will also understand accountability storytelling, embody a breaking news mindset, and have a drive to succeed across all platforms in a streaming environment. In addition to AM weekend anchor duties, this candidate will also report three days per week and provide multi-platform content that includes streaming responsibilities.
The successful candidate will anchor the Saturday and Sunday AM newscast, as well as serve as a General Assignment reporter three days per week. This person will also be responsible for covering breaking news and pitching branded stories that fit under the "On Your Side" brand across all multi-platform levels of the operation. Additionally, the candidate will be a team player who knows how to collaborate across all levels of the storytelling spectrum.

Responsibilities Anchor the Saturday and Sunday AM newscasts.
Serve as a General Assignment reporter three days per week.
Cover breaking news and pitch branded stories that fit under the "On Your Side" brand across all multi-platform levels of the operation.
Collaborate across all levels of the storytelling spectrum as a team player.
Qualifications/Requirements 5 or more years of minimum experience in a broadcast newsroom or digital newsgathering environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced news gathering environment.
This is not an entry-level position and requires a solid understanding of journalistic principles, as well as a multi-platform approach to story gathering.
