Event Technician, Audio Visual (Part Time) - Atlanta

Role offered by Encore. The event technician is responsible for set up and operation of basic audio‑visual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring customer satisfaction. The position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Accurately set up, operate, and break down basic audio‑visual equipment as listed in technical qualifications.
• Exceed expectations and needs of internal and external customers through effective communication.
• Attend guest events on site to ensure equipment functionality and provide support throughout the day.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues, maintaining professionalism and timing.
• Follow company procedures, complete system entry and paperwork, and enter orders in Navigator as required.
• Collaborate with other staff and vendors regarding equipment.
• Use floor‑up‑selling techniques to increase revenue where appropriate.
• Finalize invoices with clients and complete order entries.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• One year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• One year of audio‑visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for company vehicle use; additional DOT requirements may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $15.09 – $18.49.
