Position Summary
Dynamic and experienced property management professional looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Related Affordable is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations of our 343‑unit LIHTC and HUD Section 236 affordable housing community in Yonkers, NY. This role collaborates closely with the Community Manager to maintain a well‑functioning, welcoming environment for residents, with administrative tasks, resident relations, and compliance with affordable housing regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in leasing activities, marketing, resident recertifications, and general admin duties for efficient community operations.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, aid rent collection, and manage delinquencies to maintain financial health.
- Address resident concerns promptly, fostering a positive living environment and organizing appreciation/retention events.
- Ensure adherence to affordable housing program requirements (HDC, HCR, HUD, LIHTC) by maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance audits.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely, high‑quality property upkeep for a safe, pleasant living environment.
- Assist in preparing reports to monitor community performance and identify areas for improvement.
Compensation
- Salary: $75,000‑$80,000 annually

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs (Project‑Based Section 8, LIHTC, HUD) and compliance requirements.
- Experience with RealPage, OneSite, JD Edwards (or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Proactive problem‑solving mindset, passion for great living experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive issues professionally.
- Accountable, reliable, detail‑oriented, resilient, and collaborative, with continuous learning focus.
