Our large oil and gas client is seeking a small team of Instructional Designers to develop instructor-led training (ILT) materials for new production operators.

Key Responsibilities:

Review the existing competency framework and supporting documentation.
Design and develop ILT materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, presentation decks, and supporting activities or assessments, that align with both the factual and conceptual modules in the framework.
Ensure the training content addresses:
Hazards associated with Energy Isolation
Types of Energy Isolation used and where they apply
Processes and procedures related to hazard management
Fundamental principles of Energy Isolation and Lockout/Tagout procedures
Apply adult learning principles and practical, hands-on activities to help new hires demonstrate understanding and readiness for verification.

Start Date: Mid-October

Duration: Through 2025 with potential to extend

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Location: Virtual

Experience Required:

Extensive instructional design experience, with a strong focus on instructor-led curriculum design and material development.
Experience creating training for field technicians or operational audiences.
Prior experience in oil and gas or a closely related industry (utilities, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing) is required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
A strong portfolio of instructional design and writing samples is required.
Must be able to work exclusively on a PC for the duration of the project.

The pay range for this is $55.00 to $60.00 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
