As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a SCREENER in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and assisting with screening processes. - Greet and screen individuals entering the location, following site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
- Provide high-quality customer service by assisting visitors and employees and answering questions about site access.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist with emergency response activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with X-Ray screening is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
