Student Employment - Marketing Photographer I & II

Job Summary

The Marketing Assistant 3 will assist in the operation of the Marketing Area including production of marketing material, managing supply levels, assisting in tracking project deadlines, mentoring graphic designers, and supporting photography and visual media projects. This includes capturing, editing, and organizing photos and other digital assets used in promotional materials, social media, and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct photo sessions as needed for design and layout projects.
• Attend special events and Intramural Sports Championship nights to take pictures for record keeping.
• Edit photos utilizing Creative Cloud software (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, etc.).
• Electronic filing and organizing of pictures.
• Uphold ECU image standards while using trademarked logos, words, and colors.
• Post pictures on multiple social media outlets.
• Communicate effectively with each client to ensure expectations are met for each request.
• Develop one's own knowledge, performance, and abilities through supervisor and self-reflection.
• Attend Adventure Leadership trips as necessary to capture special adventurous moments.
• Conceptualize and create videos to promote a variety of CRW events and services.
• Edit those videos using Creative Cloud software and abiding by trademarked music, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Working knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
• Preferred: Familiarity with Campus Recreation & Wellness, experience with digital photography and editing, and a strong artistic and creative mindset.
• Experienced in videography and leadership skills.
• Must be enrolled in the video production program in the School of Communication.
• Available to work approximately 10-15 hours per week.
