The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organization has the financial resources and public support necessary to achieve its strategic goals. This role involves working with the development team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, managing the entire fundraising cycle, and overseeing relationships with various stakeholders to build a strong support base. The CACO will also be a key figure in representing the organization at regional, state, and national forums, and will work with the communications team to enhance the organization's image and message consistency. Candidates for the CACO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in development or fundraising in a leadership role. A deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, philanthropy, and best practices in fundraising and communications is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. Visionary leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in fundraising are also key qualifications.
