Position Reporting to Intuit’s SVP of Creative, the Director of Ops will be a catalyst for scaling the impact of Intuit’s in-house Creative Studio. Here are three critical areas of responsibilities: Business ops and business affairs: Ensure the team is managing its large budget strategically and efficiently to deliver above and beyond outcomes for the Intuit brand, internally and externally. Creative/design ops: Ensure strategic prioritization of demands and allocate resources to deliver excellence at scale, with high velocity. Innovation practices: Transform how the team and the broader company innovates in the age of AI by leading the way and scaling innovation capabilities across the company. Responsibilities Operational excellence and executional rigor Establish and optimize processes for prioritization, planning, workflow management, and project execution to ensure deliverables are on time, on brand, and within scope. Drive continuous process improvements to keep the team agile, implementing best practices in program management, communication, and execution. Align global teams across regions and cornerstone brands to ensure smooth collaboration and seamless processes—no matter the team or geography. Manage a high volume of asset requests and refine the organization’s strategic roadmap, tracking key initiatives, providing ongoing visibility into progress, removing blockers, and driving communications to keep the team informed and motivated. Collaborate with the team to drive prioritization and staffing decisions that ensure we’re using the right talent in the right places, keeping our creative and business goals aligned and needs met. Track timelines and KPIs to ensure creative work exceeds expectations and develop a reporting system that ensures key stakeholders and senior management have the visibility they need. Facilitate the development of clear roles and responsibilities across creative production teams wherever needed. Advocate for a culture that strikes the right balance between creative freedom and operational discipline. Drive ongoing creative reviews with stakeholders at all levels that maintain a high standard of creative execution and ensure effective use of time for both cross-functional leaders and individual contributors. Develop operational playbooks, guidelines, and processes, and AI-enablement resources to help scale and maximize the impact of creative operations. Team and organizational leadership Develop and grow a high-performing team of program managers and creative producers. Mentor and coach team members on their projects, helping them have business impact and achieve growth goals. Serve as a mentor and thought partner to people leaders and senior individual contributors throughout the Creative Studio team. Develop and maintain the operating system for the Creative Studio team, ensuring frameworks, processes, and rituals are consistent to ensure alignment and engagement. Ensure that employees are onboarded and receive the tools and training needed to become productive quickly. Measure the ongoing health of the Creative Studio team, keeping a pulse on engagement and proactively implementing programs to keep the team challenged and inspired. Develop programs and initiatives that foster a culture of creative excellence, accountability, risk taking, and collaboration. Lead change initiatives that help the team grow and adapt, staying at the top of our game. Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the senior leader, acting as a proxy when needed and ensuring that decisions and actions are aligned with strategy. Stakeholder management and alignment Partner with functions and leaders across the company to ensure everyone’s working toward the same vision, keeping creative output and strategic objectives aligned. Manage stakeholder communications and drive cross-functional alignment through clear and repeatable processes that scale. Cultivate durable cross-functional relationships that promote a seamless workflow across departments. Build an atmosphere of collaboration, leaning into and resolving conflicts when needed. Act as a liaison between creative teams and senior management as needed. Technology and tools Ensure the team has the right tools and platforms for effective workflow management, collaboration, and digital asset management. Leverage AI tools to elevate and accelerate creative work. Champion opportunities to drive automation and efficiency through technology to maximize team productivity and creativity and future-proof creative operations. Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, project management tools and systems to continually enhance the quality and innovation of the team's output. Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies and ensure seamless integration into existing workflows. Train and support team members in adopting new tools and processes. Budgeting and vendor management Work closely with finance and marketing leadership to establish and manage the team’s budget. Own and monitor the budget—monitoring spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities—to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance throughout all production and marketing activities. Oversee vendor relationships and external partners, negotiating contracts and managing scopes of work that deliver real value to the team. Manage onboarding and training of vendors. Build and manage the ecosystem and budget for event-related vendors and contractors used by the creative team. Qualifications 15+ years in design and/or marketing related field Proven success leading large, cross-functional teams through change and innovation Experience leading craft excellence through operational excellence Deep understanding of the creative process. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
