Mission

As Marketing Director, you will lead integrated marketing initiatives in the Japanese market, reinforcing the brands positioning while aligning with global strategy. Your responsibilities will center around ATL advertising, public relations, influencer partnerships, events, and sales promotions all aimed at enhancing brand equity and achieving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. 1. Brand Strategy & Marketing Planning
    • Develop and execute annual marketing plans that align global strategy with local market dynamics.
    • Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity to strengthen brand image.
    • Maximize key brand moments such as the appointment of a new Creative Director or the launch of flagship collections.

  2. 2. Public Relations, Communications & Events
    • Create and implement press strategies, including media events and influencer outreach.
    • Build strong relationships with key media to maximize brand exposure.
    • Plan and manage brand-elevating partnerships, collaborations, and events.
    • Lead relationship management with celebrities, talents, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
    • Develop customer-facing promotions in collaboration with stores and department stores.
    • Design marketing activations tailored to customer lifestyles and preferences, especially for VIP and loyal customer segments.
    • Enhance brand experience in alignment with CRM strategy.

  3. 4. Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Lead and nurture the marketing team across PR, promotions, and events.
    • Foster close collaboration with internal departments (Retail, Merchandising, CRM, and Global HQ).
    • Coach team members and manage performance to support goal achievement.
    • Strengthen organizational capability through succession planning and skills development.

  4. 5. Budget Management & KPI Planning
    • Build and manage the annual marketing (A&P) budget.
    • Define and track KPIs (e.g., media exposure, brand awareness, event effectiveness).
    • Analyze performance and continuously optimize strategy for better outcomes.



Requirements

Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years of marketing experience in the luxury, fashion, or premium consumer goods sectors.
  • Deep knowledge and proven success in brand marketing within the Japanese market.
  • Strong leadership in PR, event management, and sales promotion.
  • Experience working with various distribution channels, including directly operated stores, department stores, and wholesale.
  • Excellent team leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English, with outstanding communication ability.
