Description
Position Overview:
The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for implementing the day-to-day promotions and special event efforts. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the supervision of Promotions and Casino events. Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times. Responsible for the quality, consistency and presentation of all services delivered to guests. Enforces departmental policies, procedures and standards, including complimentary criteria guidelines. Facilitates training programs to encompass general information, Players Club programs and enrollment, complimentary criteria, system/PC software use, policies and procedures and service standards. Maintain proper tracking and reporting of all promotions and bus marketing groups. Prepare and reconcile any coupon inventory associated with Marketing Operations. Maintain adequate departmental inventories and supplies. Effectively communicates all job/property related and pertinent information to superiors and subordinates. Promptly communicates any concerns and issues to management. Maintains knowledge of property, hotel, events and promotions to assist with guest inquiries. Investigates, resolves and responds to all guest concerns and issues in a timely and courteous manner. Evaluates and addresses employee job performance, providing praise, motivation and counseling appropriately. Assist in the development of Promotion and Special event calendars. Ensure the accuracy of Day-to-Day execution of all promotions, and ensure promotions are run within the PGCB set guidelines. Develops all PGCB Submissions and factsheets. Designs, develops and implements promotional offers through mass media and direct mail programs; Strategize opportunities to increase incremental business through promotions with management. Primary marketing efforts include mass market promotions, special events and gate show type events. Ensure adequate disbursement internal controls are in place to meet regulations and Income Audit standards. Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times. Responsible for the quality, consistency and presentation of all services delivered to guests. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Maintain proper tracking and reporting of all promotions. Attends meetings as needed. Assists in other projects and handles job tasks as deemed appropriate. Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. #MACR
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Must be able to perform each of the essential functions and responsibilities satisfactorily. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, or related field highly preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience required, or a combination of education and experience. Previous Casino, Hotel, hospitality or entertainment experience preferred. Must possess excellent organizational, communication, customer service and multitasking skills and the ability to crank out editorial and technical writing output. Must be able to work on a project with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced team environment. Must be able to meet deadlines. Must provide friendly and courteous service to all guests and patrons of the Hotel/Casino. Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Internet Search Engines. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing in the English Language. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work; initiative; well developed inter-personal skills; ability to set and achieve high standards of performance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to express ideas or make recommendations concerning job related issues; learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments; maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques. Ability to perceive quality of work, read materials, review documents and receive instructions. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board License.
