About the Role We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our team in preparing high-quality documentation that translates complex scientific and technical achievements into clear, accessible language for a non-scientific audience. This work plays a key role in supporting immigration filings, where clarity, precision, and timeliness are essential.
The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, thrives under deadlines, and enjoys working with technical content to craft clear and compelling narratives.
Key Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties. Review client materials to determine how to present achievements in line with USCIS criteria Review sample cases to learn filing presentation and structure Communicate with clients under the supervision of an Editor or Attorney Assemble exhibits for Editor and/or Attorney review prior to filing Present technical ideas simply and without impairing meaning, with supervisor input Extract and interpret meaning from technical documents Conduct supplementary research to support client needs Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience, under supervision of Editor/Attorney Observe and attend client case strategy calls and consultations Ensure technical verbiage is easy for laypersons to understand Work within strict deadlines, as cases are time sensitive Track case progress in the document management system Manage time accurately in the billing system Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with excellent academic credentials Strong writing and editing skills (writing sample required) Interest in international and intercultural issues Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Strong organizational skills with efficient workflow management Meticulous attention to detail Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and adapt to shifting priorities Initiative and follow-through with minimal supervision Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours, including evenings or weekends when deadlines require Proficiency with MS365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Offering competitive pay and benefits, along with the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team, is part of our commitment to promoting a workplace that values employees.
