Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced

Technical Writer

to support the development, revision, and maintenance of operating procedures. This role plays a critical part in translating complex technical content into user-friendly documentation and serves as a documentation lead-acting as reviewer, editor, convener, and user advocate. You will collaborate with Control Center staff and Operations leadership, promoting clarity, usability, compliance, and consistency across all materials. Key Responsibilities:

Revise and maintain standard operating procedures throughout the documentation lifecycle. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate technical content. ct as editor, documentation coordinator, and end-user advocate. Ensure consistency and adherence to documentation standards. Communicate complex concepts in a clear, concise, and structured format. Collaborate across departments to ensure timely completion and publication of documents. Promote document usability and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field; or 4+ years of equivalent experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to comprehend and translate complex instructions and policies. Proven experience managing technical documentation projects with minimal supervision. Familiarity with documentation standards and procedures. Demonstrated customer service mindset in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience creating or maintaining reports and procedural content. Proficiency in at least one of the following:

Document Management Systems (DMS) Human Performance Improvement (HPI) principles Project Management methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) Writer Certification. Prior experience in the energy or utility industry. Familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker or similar writing tools. Experience working in a regulated environment with documented writing standards. Knowledge of NERC and FERC compliance requirements.
