Position Purpose The Retail Media Account Executive plays a critical role in driving revenue and strengthening relationships with key suppliers, service providers, and national advertisers. This position is responsible for understanding clients' business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded. The Retail Media Account Executive will oversee the end‑to‑end management of advertiser relationships, from initial prospecting to closing deals, and manage multiple relationships within a specific category. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading and developing a team of Retail Media Account Managers and Retail Media Analysts to deliver business results. A successful Retail Media Account Executive will bring together relationship management, data‑driven marketing, and cross‑functional leadership to exceed revenue targets. Key Responsibilities 5% – Market & Competitive Insight – Conduct competitive research to benchmark partner programs and identify new partnership opportunities that drive brand differentiation and customer value. Translate insights into innovative strategies and recommendations. 15% – People Leadership & Team Development – Offer coaching and feedback to improve the team’s sales and relationship management skills; coach and develop Retail Media Account Managers and Analysts. 30% – Relationship Management – Manage relationships with a portfolio of suppliers, service providers, merchants, and national advertisers, serving as the primary point of contact. Lead the full partnership lifecycle from strategic planning, sourcing, contracting to activation, optimization, and renewal. 40% – Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth – Support planning cycles, forecasting, and business reviews; identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities; develop business cases for new opportunities and track performance. 10% – Strategic Marketing & Campaign Execution – Manage execution of partnership tactics, including promotional planning and operational workflow; translate partner objectives into integrated marketing campaigns; monitor performance and report insights. Direct Manager / Direct Reports Reports to: Senior Manager, Retail Media Sales Direct reports: 1–5 Retail Media Account Managers/Analysts Travel Requirements Typically requires overnight travel 5 %–20 % of the time. Physical Requirements Mostly seated; occasional light lifting. Working Conditions Indoor environment; occasional light movement. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications 4–6 + years of experience in retail media, partnerships, marketing, or account management. 2+ years’ experience managing direct reports; ability to inspire high‑performing teams. Expertise in digital media, retail, e‑commerce, and on‑site advertising products. Experience in agency, brand marketing, or ad tech environments. Strong presentation, organization, and project management skills. Data‑driven approach with performance analysis and strategic recommendation skills. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED.
