About the Role We're looking for a PR/Marketing professional who doesn't just love books - but knows how to make the world fall in love with them too. You will oversee The Agency at Brown Books and have the freedom to create individual campaigns for our authors using out-of-the-box thinking in addition to traditional PR strategies.

Our authors own the rights to their books, so they are highly motivated and engaged, as they receive 90% of the profits from book sales. Be prepared to have a new best friend. We believe in full collaboration with the entire publishing team, as well as the authors.

If moving to Dallas is not in the cards for you so that you can advantage of this unique opportunity, feel free to submit your resume for a freelance opportunity promoting books in your area of expertise and liking.

Responsibilities Lead our in‑house agency representing authors from all genres. Oversee the agency’s operations immediately, manage campaign creation and execution, promote authors, and promote our new non‑profit imprint, Rado's Press, helping stray, abandoned and homeless animals.

Qualifications Ideal candidate will have experience in sales, management and/or branding, in addition to PR and marketing. 10+ years’ experience is required. Having run your own agency is a huge plus.

Company Brown Books Publishing Group, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is the country’s first hybrid publisher and trademarked “a new era in publishing” in 1994. We publish all genres, but are especially proud of our new non‑profit, RADO'S Press (RESCUE ANIMALS DESERVE OUR SUPPORT) that will launch in the spring. All profits will go to our partner Operation Kindness whose mission it is to help feed, rescue and defend homeless and abused animals.
