Job Description The GAME School, formerly the School of Arts, Media and Engineering, is seeking a dynamic, creative and results‑driven Communications and Web Content Coordinator to lead our marketing and communication efforts. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of high‑impact activities that engage a wide audience and advance the visibility and impact for both The GAME School and the new cross‑disciplinary initiative, Endless Games and Learning Lab. This position will play a vital role in telling our story by engaging prospective students, alumni, industry collaborators, donors and the broader community through compelling campaigns, media content and outreach initiatives.

Salary $54,600 – $60,000

Essential Duties

Plans, develops, and produces creative, high‑quality and cost‑effective communications for college audiences (e.g., faculty, staff, students, donors, prospective students, and the general public) using multiple media and tools (print, events, press releases, advertisements, Web, displays and merchandise).

Advises Department Chair, Program Directors and other decision makers on effective marketing communications and public relations matters.

Participates in strategic communications planning for college projects and initiatives.

Serves as a writer and editor for alumni and internal college newsletters, news releases, brochures, mailers, advertising e‑newsletters, web content, press releases and annual reports.

Supports the communication needs of the department; especially as they relate to development, recruitment and student services activities (including consulting and/or production of communication tools).

Interfaces with and conducts regular interviews with faculty, alumni, key stakeholders, project leads/managers and team members to develop and write stories for publication and market content.

Develops and implements guidelines for the use of the School’s Web site, advertising, alumni and staff print communications.

Oversees content for the web site; ensures timeliness of all information, and coordinates content updates with the College level Communications and Media staff.

Works with internal and external vendors and suppliers to coordinate media placement, printing of various types of materials, and directs the development, content and design of communication for the School’s website and programs.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, media studies, graphic design or a related field.

3–5 years of professional experience in communications, digital content strategy, marketing or related fields.

Strong writing and storytelling skills.

Experience with website content management systems.

Proficiency in visual communication tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.

Understanding of digital marketing and engagement strategies, including email campaigns, social media content planning, analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO best practices.

Working Environment

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse 75%; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work 10%.

Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.

Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds 15%.

Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include or be subject to resolution of conflicts.
