Join the Morgridge Family Foundation (MFF) as a full‑time Communications and Publishing Manager in Denver. In this role you will be the voice and storyteller of the foundation, creating and sharing stories that amplify our impact and engaging our community across multiple platforms.

Job Description We seek a creative, energetic storyteller with strong written and verbal communication, content strategy, and a keen eye for upcoming communication trends. The successful candidate will operate within a small‑office environment, managing a one‑person communications team (writer, webmaster, multimedia creator). The role requires a physical presence at the MFF office approximately 80% of the work week, with full presence when the CEO is in Denver.
Responsibilities The Manager of Communications and Publishing will lead MFF’s communications framework, creating and sharing stories that highlight the foundation’s work. Responsibilities include:
Write, edit, and manage a wide range of inspiring content, including blog posts, web copy, promotional materials, event collateral, and remarks.
Produce the Foundation’s bi‑monthly newsletter (24 times per year) in collaboration with leadership and staff.
Produce light graphic design, including digital assets, slide presentations, one‑pagers, social media graphics, email newsletters, and web pages.
Collaborate with leaders and the team to create and maintain the Foundation’s editorial calendar.
Meet with and interview MFF’s nonprofit partners to learn about their impact and share their stories through appropriate channels.
Guide and execute MFF’s social media strategy and posting on platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
Provide communications support for MFF Publishing’s past and future projects and events, including public speaking engagements on the book
Courage Money: A Guide to Becoming a Venture Philanthropist .
Monitor MFF’s inbound email accounts and respond in a timely manner.
Manage contractors as needed to support MFF’s creative needs.
Work with Foundation Source to present impact data in the annual report.
Competencies and Skills
Experience with communication tools such as Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interview and craft narrative journalism style stories that connect with broader societal trends.
Adaptable voice and tone across multiple use cases including speeches, blogs, newsletters, promotional materials, and ghost‑written pieces.
Creative thinking and continuous improvement of the communications program.
Strong autonomy and collaborative teamwork.
Meticulous attention to grammar, style, editorial planning, and deadline management.
Demonstrated success working in a small‑team environment.
Requirements
Physical presence at MFF’s office at 4242 East Amherst Ave., Denver for approximately 80% of the work week, and full presence when the CEO is in Denver on foundation business.
Occasional travel and evening work.
Position starts immediately.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary (range $80,000 to $95,000 dependent on experience).
Comprehensive benefits package including health, medical, vision, dental insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; and generous paid time off.
